Summer vacation is coming up, but there are certain things to take care of before. One of such things is to register for the upcoming IDUG 2023 EMEA Db2 Tech Conference. The conference is held at the Prague Congress Centre, Czech Republic, this year and runs from October 15-19. It is the main gathering for European users of IBM Db2.

Agenda available

Earlier this month, the CPC (conference planning committee) met to built the so-called grid, the conference agenda. Check out the details of scheduled sessions and speakers:

  • There are tracks for Db2 for z/OS and Db2 for Linux, Unix, Windows (LUW). There is also a day with dedicated Db2 on IBM i sessions.
  • The conference features "Db2 basics" sessions to help build up database expertise in different areas. To give an example, I am scheduled to with a "Db2 Basics: The catalog - a guided tour" talk. There are also fundamentals courses offered to get you (or your co-workers!) started with Db2.
  • Expert panels for Db2 z/OS and Db2 LUW are back on the grid. Come and ask and wait for the "it depends" as answer...

Registration

As you might have expected (or hoped for?), conference registration is already open. There are early bird rates, a special for first time attendees, and group rates available. You can experience the full conference with all sessions and the networking when coming to Prague. Similar to last year, parts of the tracks are also available for virtual attendees  (stay at home, enjoy great content).

So, make plans, register, and let's meet at the conference in Prague...
